“Why do you ask so many questions, Ruth?”
This is what I’ve heard all my life, even as a young child…
I have taken my life-long passion of curiosity and crafted it into a service to help you take action on your goals. I do this by partnering with you to organize your thoughts, take clear steps & stay on track. I use skillful questions to discover if a new perspective serves you more effectively than your current one. When you have an insight (a common outcome of the coaching process), your outlook can change in an instant! We use that shift to create actions to propel you toward your goals.
As a Board-Certified Professional Organizer, my 19 years of experience led me to be a Personal & Professional Life Coach. The positive impact of integrating coaching skills into my organizing work influenced me to become a coach so I could serve people more deeply.
I hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from The International Coaching federation (ICF) and a Certified Organizer Coach credential from the Institute for Applied Coaching (IAC). As a member of ICF, I adhere to strict ethical guidelines.
When I’m not helping clients create positive change, I’m helping myself by learning to be a pianist. I’m honest, ethical, dependable, straightforward and supportive. My values are excellence, autonomy, growth, integrity, contribution and gratitude.
On a personal note, I am a living evidence of the brilliance of coaching because it has transformed my own life. Great coaches invest in a coach themselves to help them reach beyond their current edge. We all have an edge—areas where we’ve stretched and grown, unlocked new levels, and then need support to break through to the next one. Prior to coaching, I was not drawn to share issues with others because I didn’t want their advice. When I became a coaching client and felt the power of my coach holding space for me to come up with my own insights, I had and continue to have many favorable breakthroughs.
